    Room: All Rooms

Each lunar new year (also known as Losar) is a time for us to come together and celebrate our teachers, the wealth of teachings, and our community with whom we engage in practice. Festivities include socializing around meals along with integrating practice in our tradition.

You may come for all or some of the day's events:

    9:45am - 10:30am  - Arriving and light breakfast

10:30am - 12:00pm - Open sitting practice in meditation hall

    12:00pm - 1:00pm - Community meal

    1:00pm - 1:30pm - International address from Shambhala Global

1:45-2:45pm - Group practice of the Sadhana of Mahamudra

2:45pm - 3:15pm — Toasts, ending remarks, and clean up

Note about the Sadhana of Mahamudra

This sadhana, or spoken practice text, is a ritual terma text compiled by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, and is unique to the Shambhala community. No prior experience in practicing the text is required, and all are welcome to join. Some basic background on the practice will be provided as well.

While you're welcome to come whether registered or not, we ask that you do register if you're planning to be there, so that we can plan for food accordingly.
