    Room: Main Shrineroom
You are warmly invited to mark the actual day of Shambhala Day (Losar) early in the morning of Friday, February 16.  In order to accommodate people who work on week days, we moved our community Shambhala Day celebration to Saturday, February 17..  While that makes sense for the practicality of our lives, we still want to tune into the auspiciousness of the actual day.
Therefore, we will gather at the Shambhala Center at 6am. (Uplifted dress welcomed.)
    6am Toasts
6:15 Elixir of Life Sadhana* (aka The Birthday Sadhana)
7am Throwing of the I Ching for Year of the Earth Dog
7:30 Hey Ho, Off to Work You Go or Breakfast at Haymarket
•The Elixir of Life, A Birthday Practice is a short liturgy written by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for use by Shambhala practitioners on our birthdays and to welcome the lunar new year. The liturgy includes simple yet pithy contemplations which are reminders of our precious human birth and of the aspiration to help others.
