Join us for our monthly Open House. At 10am, we begin with sitting and walking meditation (those new to meditation can receive instruction from 9:30 – 10:00am). After a brief break, at 11am there is a talk by a senior student with discussion. At 12pm, we gather in the Community Room for refreshments and socializing.

For June:  Shila, Samadhi and Prajna

The dharma is divided into three types of logic: personal experience, theory, and confirmation by teachers.
The sangha supports us on the path, the teacher is our inspiration and guide. All good, but we ourselves alone are responsible to do all the sitting. Understanding the nuances of adhering to the technique while noticing tendencies to create our own versions, distractions and passions, is the pith experience in developing a real working kindness to ourselves and compassion for others.
Please come and share your experience of this foundational teaching which resonates for all of us committed to the dharma.
