Join us for our monthly Open House. At 10am, we begin with sitting and walking meditation (those new to meditation can receive instruction from 9:30 – 10:00am). After a brief break, at 11am there is a talk by a senior student with discussion. At 12pm, we gather in the Community Room for refreshments and socializing.

    For October:

"Disruption: What is it Good For?"

Conventionally speaking, having our hopes, dreams, and plans disrupted is bad news. It signals that we have somehow lifted our hand off the course of our life and messed up. But perhaps this is how reality works. What if we looked at disruption as an opportunity to uproot and change how we think and behave, and to take a fresh course - both individually and communally. And if so, how can meditation support us in finding ground in the groundlessness of disruption?
