with Elizabeth Peterson

January 24th

    Room: Main Shrineroom
Tonight's talk is entitled The Dharma of Deep Listening:Bringing Forth Others’ Wisdom.
It is said that the highest form of listening is that which brings out the inherent wisdom in others.  It is challenging to do, though.  We will explore this topic together, emphasizing our personal experience as well as how meditation practice helps cultivate these qualities.

This is the second part of a two-part series on Deep Listening, the first being during the Sunday, January 7, 2017 Open House.  You need not have attended the first part to attend tonight’sgathering, however.
Join us every Wednesday for our new weeknight Open House. Starts promptly at 7:00 with 20 minutes of sitting meditation followed by a short talk on a timely topic and lively discussion, refreshments and socializing.

Whether you’re a long-time meditator or wanting to explore mindfulness practice for the first time, you’ll find friendly people and interesting topics to discuss and contemplate.
