Shambhala Wednesday Night: Goodness Abounds - Six Reflections on being and acting in the world

with Dori Digenti

September 27th

Date details +
    Room: Main Shrineroom

Over the years of being a single Mom and being a Buddhist, these reflections developed as a way to communicate to my daughter about the world and support Right View and Right Action. Coming back to these reflections again and again, a code evolved. They have helped me to stay on track, and attempt to continually move toward openness, kindness, and forgiveness as an ongoing reflection. This talk will present these six reflections, and then invite participants to discuss and share their "codes for the road."

Dori Digenti is a long-time student of Chogyam Trungpa and Sakyong Mipham, meditation instructor, and Shambhala Training director. She runs Breathing Space Yoga & Mindfulness Studio in Holyoke, MA, a non-profit dedicated to offering affordable, plain language yoga and classes to the community and to those in addiction recovery.

Join us every Wednesday for our new weeknight Open House. Starts promptly at 7:00 with 20 minutes of sitting meditation followed by a short talk on a timely topic and lively discussion, refreshments and socializing.

Whether you’re a long-time meditator or wanting to explore mindfulness practice for the first time, you’ll find friendly people and interesting topics to discuss and contemplate.
