The Center is located at 191 Main Street, Northampton, on the third floor.

Driving Directions

From Boston or the Berkshires (Mass Pike – I90 East or West)
Take exit 4 to I-91 North. Follow 91N to exit 18 (Northampton Center / Route 5 North). Bear left at the end of exit 18 to head North on Route 5. Follow Rte5 North to the stoplight in the center of town (Route 9). Take a Left onto Route 9 (this is Main St). We are at 191 Main Street on the right, third floor above the Mountain Goat.

From the South (headed North on I-91)
Follow directions from the Mass Pike (see above).

From the North (headed South on I-91)
Take exit 20 (with the huge DANA VW sign). Merge onto King St. (route 5 South). Follow Rte 5 South about 1.3 miles until the stoplight at Route 9 (Main St); turn right. We are on the top floor at the Mountain Goat, 191 Main Street.

From the Amherst/Hadley Area – Route 9 West
Take Route 9 West to the Coolidge Bridge into Northampton. Continue straight on Route 9 West into Northampton center. We are on the top floor over the Mountain Goat, 191 Main Street, on the right.

From the Hilltowns and points West – Route 9 East
Take Route 9 East into Northampton. Pass Smith College, and stay on Rte 9 into Downtown. We are on the third floor of The Mountain Goat, 191 Main Street, on the left in the center of town.

Parking

Metered Parking is policed Monday – Saturday from 8am – 6pm in Northampton (and until 8pm in some locations)

There is NO fee for parking on Sundays in downtown Northampton
1 Hour Public metered parking is available on Main St.
2 Hour Public metered parking is available on the side streets, behind Thornes Market, and in the lot behind the Center.

The Parking Garage (located behind Thornes Marketplace) offers unlimited parking at an hourly rate with the first hour free.

There is also metered parking in the lot behind the Peter Pan bus station (often called “The Roundhouse”) with a fee of 15 cents per hour.
